Cooking classes
Essentially, any cuisine is representative of a culture, it provides
the opportunity to be sociable and to express one’s creativity.
It is also a way of getting to know the traditions of the place or the
region you are visiting. Those who would like to embark on a journey
exploring the flavours typical of Umbrian cuisine - and not only this
– are invited to join our cooking classes.
The classes are designed to help the student to first form ideas about
one or more menus and then actually create the meals that were envisaged,
putting ideas into practice in a convivial and pleasant atmosphere.
Combining the chosen ingredients and foods with the appropriate wines
is an essential part of our courses.
In time, you will become confident in your knowledge of basic culinary
principles, which will enable you to chose ingredients and spread your
culinary wings when it comes to creating your recipes. Our cuisine is
based on simplicity and on what is essential, all the elements that
are indispensable for the creation of the simplest of dishes as well
as the most refined menus. All of this is enhanced by the good quality
of the ingredients we use.

• Sunday
Arrival – pick-up from Fabro or Chiusi railway station
6,00 p.m Welcome aperitif to introduce our programme and know each other
– Sparkling wine, fruit cocktails, finger food
7,00 p.m. Welcome dinner is served main course + dessert – drinks
included (water, wine, soft drinks)

9,00 breakfast
11,00 cooking classes
1,00 p.m. break and light lunch – water and soft drinks included
2,00-4,00 cooking classes
7,00 p.m. dinner is served two courses + dessert – drinks excluded
• Tuesday

10,00 visit to the market in Castiglione del Lago –

6,00 p.m. pizza dinner, everybody preparing and cooking their own pizza
with different toppings using our traditional wood oven – beer

10,00 visit to la Scarzuola, the famous architect Buzzi’s city
– wine tasting at the Montegiove castle. Lunch in Montegiove –
After lunch visit to Orvieto and beautiful Civita di Bagnoregio
8 p.m. dinner at a typical Umbrian style restaurant
