Essentially, any cuisine is representative of a culture, it provides the opportunity to be sociable and to express one’s creativity.
It is also a way of getting to know the traditions of the place or the region you are visiting. Those who would like to embark on a journey exploring the flavours typical of Umbrian cuisine - and not only this – are invited to join our cooking holidays.
The classes are designed to help the student to first form ideas about one or more menus and then actually create the meals that were envisaged, putting ideas into practice in a convivial and pleasant atmosphere.
Combining the chosen ingredients and foods with the appropriate wines is an essential part of our courses.
In time, you will become confident in your knowledge of basic culinary principles, which will enable you to chose ingredients and spread your culinary wings when it comes to creating your recipes. Our cuisine is based on simplicity and on what is essential, all the elements that are indispensable for the creation of the simplest of dishes as well as the most refined menus. All of this is enhanced by the good quality of the ingredients we use.
There are different programmes available for those who wish to take part in our classes, depending on how much energy and time you are willing to dedicate to this aim.
We also give the chance of taking a single cooking class session, it also works as an experiment to test your feelings, and can really make a difference in your holiday.
We can also personalize our programmes, so if you have any special requests, don't hesitate to contact us and we will work something out together.

“Food and wine – two days”

includes 2 nights stay – 2 breakfast – visit to a cellar – wine tasting – 1 cooking class – 1 dinner with wine - free transfer from Fabro railway station. Transfers from Chiusi railway station or Perugia airport may be arranged at extra cost.
1st day: arrival at 2,00 p.m. and check-in – visit to a nearby cellar followed by wine tasting – dinner on your own
2nd day: start your day with our good homemade breakfast – mornig is free to relax – lunch may be arranged (not included) – 4.00 p.m. your hands-on cooking class start followed by a delicious dinner (wine included)
3rd day: after breakfast check-out

Accommodation for 6 nights, all breakfasts, cooking classes with meals to follow, wine included, all meals, wine tasting, olive oil tasting, activities and excurxions per itinerary.

first day
pick-up from the station – arrival at the agriturismo and relax - before dinner an aperitif with drinks and appetizers is served - dinner is served.
second day
after breakfast visit to a nearby cellar – wine tasting with light lunch snacks – back to the agriturismo for an interesting cooking classes – a lovely dinner follows.
third day
after a lovely homemade breakfast we’ll visit two special places. First Civita di Bagnoregio wher we’ll have lunch in one typical trattoria and then Orvieto famous for its magnificent cathedral and for its lovely wine. Back to the farm for a lovely dinner.
fourth day
start your day with a terrific breakfast – cooking class follows - lunch based on efforts – and then enjoy a lazy afternoon - Olive oil tasting – and then dinner is served.
fifth day
after breakfast your last cooking class takes place - lunch follows based on efforts- relax before taking a trip to Città della Pieve famous for the production of saffron – aperitif at a local - wine bar – back to the farm for a lovely pizza dinner.
sixth day
early breakfast as we need to drive to beautiful Valle d'Orcia – first Pienza – famous all over the world for its pecorino cheese - lunch in one of Marina’s favourite and then visit Montepulciano – back to to the farm for your last memorable dinner which will include Pecorino cheese and wine from Montepulciano tasting.
last day
last breakfast and then check-out – transfer to the railway station.

ONE DAY COOKING CLASS (also for non-residents)
This option is possible if are staying with us and decide at the very last minute that you want to take a cooking session.
We can organise one day cooking class with lunch (or dinner) to follow. Preparation of a full menu, including fresh pasta, which will be en joyed afterwards in an in formal and convivial atmosphere. Partners not attending the class can join for lunch (EUR 40,00 per person). Drinks are always included, different wines will be tried in combination with dishes.

Needs to be booked at least two days in advance.

This programme will combine two different activities. First cook with a real chef, preparing a delicious meal, then join a painting class held by some celebrated artists. The two activities just 5 minutes far.
In addition to this discover a beautiful and unspoilt area of Umbria, visit Orvieto with its magnificent cathedral and medieval Città della Pieve where famous painter Perugino was born.
The programme is intense, but there will be enough time to relax, and enjoy some memorable meals together with lovely wines.
The programme includes 5 nights, all breakfast, all dinners, all lunches (exept one in Orvieto), drinks with meals, aperitifs on day 3 and 4, all activities, two cooking classes, one full day painting session, trip to Città della Pieve, transport to Orvieto and also in Orvieto, entrance to monuments in Orvieto, transfers from and to the railway station.
Does not include flights, transport from the airport, drinks between meals.
Transfer from Perugia airport maybe arranged at EUR 50,00 per way.

Day-by-day itinerary:
Day 1: meet at the railway station - check-in at the farmhouse - relax in the garden or by the pool before dinner is served after a lovely homemade breakfast prepared by chef Gianluca we shall set off to the local
Day 2: butcher and farmer for some shopping - back to the farm for lunch - time to relax before your first hands-on cooking class starts followed by a delicious dinner which will be combined with local wines
Day 3: after another healthy breakfast another interesting cooking class starts - lunch follows based on efforts - time to rest before getting off to Città della Pieve - a lovely medieval town - after a stroll through the narrow streets we will enjoy an aperitif at a local wine bar - back to the farm for dinner
Day 4: early breakfast today as you must join the rest of the group for the painting class starting at 9.00 am with a demonstration by the tutors, painting session will then continue until lunch at 1.00 pm. After a productive morning and delicious lunch painting sessions resume at 2.30pm, finishing at 5.30pm. Back to the farm you'll have enough time to enjoy an aperitif before dinner is served
Day 5: After a relaxed breakfast you'll be driven to the railway station to catch a train to Orvieto - you'll have enough time to explore this jewel at your own pace - don't miss its magnificent cathedral and a glass of Orvieto classico wine. Seat in one of the locals' favourite trattoria or go shopping. Back to the farm in time for your last memorable dinner
Day 6: Unfortunately time flies, after breakfast we shall drive you to the railway station and say good-bye

“Yoga & vegetarian cooking lessons.”
Detox in the countryside
This programme combines yoga and vegeterian cooking and its ideal not only to relax and detox but also to change your lifestyle and convert into a healthier one. Besides it is a great way to relax in a quiet and unspoilt surrounding. Both yoga and cooking lessons are held by professional teachers at a very high level. Programme will take place with a minimum of 2 participants and only in specific dates, as the yoga teacher comes especially from Perugia.

Other dates may be arranged on request.

Price for this special holiday starts from EUR 890,00 p.p., and includes 5 night accommodation, all meals, detox tea and water available all day, yoga lessons, cooking classes, visit to the hot springs. Transfers to and from train station.
Programme may be customized for vegans. Please let us know of any food intolerances.
Upon request we can cater for non vegetarians too, only the programme is meant to be detox, so meat is not ideal.
Day by day itinerary:
1st day:
welcome to our farmhouse. Enjoy a complimentary transfer from the railway station. Relax while waiting for dinner.
2nd day:
after a healthy breakfast meet your yoga teacher, and enjoy your first yoga session. During a two-hour class you will learn: PRANAYAMA: correct and deep breathing and ASANA: postures and movement of HATHA YOGA in combination with the practise of PRANAYAMA.
(On request we can add DHYANA (meditation), meaning of YOGA, history of YOGA, cleaning of nose for better PRANAYAMA, writing of prayers in Sanskrit for some kind of meditation) A delicious vegetarian lunch follows.
Free afternoon to relax, explore the surroundings, take a walk to the woods.
A lovely dinner is served.
3rd day:
after breakfast enjoy another yoga lesson followed by lunch. In the afternoon come to the kitchen for your first hand-on cooking class. We will combine the best organic ingredients to create a unique dinner, which will be enjoyed in a convivial atmosphere.
4th day:
after breakfast enjoy your yoga lesson, focusing on breathing and postures. Spend the rest of the morning relaxing before lunch is served.
In the afternoon visit the hotspring where you can bathe any time of the year, the water’s temperature being around 42° C. Take a stroll in San Casciano ai Bagni, a lovely medievial village with a great view over the valley.
Back to the farm for another delicious dinner.
5th day:
healthy breakfast, and then another interesting cooking class starts, together we will prepare a great lunch, and a special treat for dinner. Afternoon is free to relax, or depending on what you choose we can arrange for another yoga class, explore Orvieto, or take a walk in the forest. Pizza dinner.
6th day:
breakfast and check-out.


A TASTE OF authentic italy, gourmet HOLIDAY TRIP by LE OLLE
Starting from Umbria, the very centre of Italy, this gourmet tour will make you discover some of the very best products of Italy as well as give you a real demonstation of italian cuisine. Cooking classes, and visits to various restaurants will give you an authentic taste of the italian approach to food. Day by day itinerary:
1st day:
meet at the airport and transfer to Podere le olle, enjoy a special treat upon arrival, check-in and relax before a lovely dinner is served
2nd day:
after a lovely brekfast we’ll set off to Vitalonga wineries, one of the small gems that make Umbria great. Enjoy a private tour of the winery, taste their great superumbrian wines paired with local cuisine. Back to the farm in the afternoon for your first hand-on cooking class, dinner will follow based on efforts
3rd day:
after breakfast we’ll be visiting Città della Pieve, a lovely medieval village, famous for the production of saffron, visit to the “house of saffron”, then lunch in one of marina’s favourite back to the farm for another interesting cooking class which will be followed by dinner served in an informal and convivial atmosphere
4th day:
another great day starts, after breakfast we’ll be visiting a winery in Tuscany, drive through some of the famous roads, and finally enjoy a typical lunch. Back to the farm to relax Late afternoon Gianluca and Marina will give you an informal and informative lesson about italian well-known products, and a tasting of their organic extra-virgin olive oil, extremely interesting indeed! Another great dinner will follow
5th day:
Early breakfast today as we need to reach Modena, house of Luciano Pavarotti, Ferrari, and world’s best chef Massimo Bottura. We’ll first touch base at the hotel, and after youll have time to enjoy this special town at your own pace, and to discover some of its hidden corners, visit museo Ferrari or Pavarotti’s house, or simply stroll around and find a good spot for lunch. We’ll then meet before dinner which will be arranged by us.
6th day:
Breakfast, and then one of the most exciting days will start, as we will be learning how Parmigiano and aceto Balsamico are produced. Lunch will be based on a selection of the most excellent products. In the afternoon we’ll continue our gourmet trip to reach Isola della Scale, a tiny village where the best rice of Italy is produced. Check-in at the hotel, and take some time to relax before an excellent dinner cooked by a young promising chef is served.
7th day:
after breakfast we’ll be visiting the rice farm, followed by a delicious lunch. We’ll reach Verona early afternoon where our tour ends. Drop off at the railway station or at the airport. We can assist you booking a hotel stay in Verona, if you wish to visit this charming town, or you may want to take a train to Venice, of fly to any other towns in Italy or Europe.
